ANSI 5010 Setup Instructions -
Note. It is the responsibility of the practice Billing Manager to research ANSI 5010 requirements
for the individual practice/specialty before making the change to ANSI 5010.
Professional claims (doctors in private practice)
Open Medisoft V17 ONLY
Click on Activities
Click on Revenue Management and select the Revenue Management option
Click on Configure
Click on Receivers
Click on the EDI Receiver you use to send claims to Relay Health or Capario
Find the column with the heading “Transaction Sets”
Click the Transaction box for the EDI Receiver (for example: REL00, REL01, PHX00 This will vary with each practice)
Click in the white box next to the label IGuide
Select Outbound Claims (MS17 5010 Professional Claims Direct)
Click Save at the top of the screen. Close screens. You are now set to send claims in an ANSI 5010 format.
Eligibility Setup

Click on Activities
Click on Revenue Management and select the Revenue Management option
Click on Configure
Click on Receivers
Click on the EDI Receiver you use to send claims to Relay Health or Capario
Find the column with the heading “Transaction Sets”
Click the Transaction box for the EDI Receiver

Select Outbound Claims (Outbound EV (270 MS17 – Relay Health-
Click Save at the top of the screen. Close screens. You are now set to receive in an ANSI 5010 format.
Institution claims (Clinics and RHC)
Open Medisoft V17 ONLY
Click on Activities
Click on Revenue Management and select the Revenue Management option
Click on Configure
Click on Receivers
Click on the EDI Receiver you use to send claims to Relay Health or Capario
Find the column with the heading “Transaction Sets”
Click the Transaction box for the EDI Receiver
Click in the white box next to the label IGuide
Select Outbound Claims (MS17 5010 Inst Claims General UB04 Claims)
Click Save at the top of the screen. Close screens. You are now set to send claims in an ANSI 5010 format.
